Create a Notebooks directory?
It might be neater to have a directory only for the Jupyter notebooks.
But then they need to be able to find files such as py_alf.py, which, since we don't want to have multiple copies of, will be located in the parent directory, and we'd have to add to each notebook a line such as
import sys ; sys.path.insert(0, "..") # Make files in the subdirectory findable
which then makes the notebook itself a bit less clean and simple.
Is it worth it?
I couldn't find any way to automatically add ".." to path that doesn't involve changing the ipython profile or some weird helper file. Hiding the cell doing the path change also seems to need some JavaScript hack.
